Meet Dr. Rosario
Noelis Rosario, DPM, is an experienced podiatrist bilingual in English and Spanish at Cortez Foot & Ankle Specialists. She is proud to provide high-quality podiatric care to patients in Ellenton, Bradenton, and Sarasota, Florida.
Dr. Rosario graduated with honors from the University of Puerto Rico, where she received a Bachelor of Science in biology and a post-bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory sciences from her native island of Puerto Rico. She later moved to Miami, Florida, and earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. She then completed a three-year podiatric medical and surgical residency at Mercy Hospital in Miami. There, she gained exposure to all aspects of elective forefoot and rearfoot surgery, limb salvage, Charcot reconstruction, external ring fixation, trauma, and sports medicine. During her surgical and clinical training, she was part of the team of doctors involved in treating athletes of the Miami Heat and the University of Miami and Barry University sports teams.
Presently, she is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Florida Podiatric Medical Association. Her hospital affiliations include Blake Medical Center, Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, and Manatee Memorial Hospital.
As a philanthropist, Dr. Rosario traveled to Mexico several times during her residency and volunteered her time to join a team of surgeons from all over the country and perform reconstructive foot and ankle surgeries for underprivileged children with a variety of lower extremity deformities. These medical mission trips gave her the opportunity to use her skills and education to give back to those in need and to diagnose and perform surgery for different anomalies.
Dr. Rosario prides herself in research and has published several research papers in the Annual Podiatry Institute Update Book. During her career, she has demonstrated leadership by being involved in various medical associations and committees. She has also attended several training courses, such as the Synthes Advanced Internal Fixation course, numerous External Fixation courses, and local surgical labs.
Dr. Rosario’s goal is not only to continue performing within the standard of expectations for her profession but also to make a difference by moving towards preventive health care. This provides a better quality of life for patients and reduces the costs of medical treatment. She is also well-versed in the most recent advancements and procedures within podiatry to ensure her patients have the best courses of treatment available.
